The tooth surface undergoes a very specific cleaning protocol to ensure we achieve the optimum bond strength for the filling material. The tooth is then built in small increments to the correct natural morphology to ensure the correct form and function of the tooth. There is usually a small amount of refinement and polishing to do once the restoration is complete.
